Associate
Jon is an Associate in Phi Finney McDonald’s Melbourne office with experience in the areas of class actions, personal injuries, employment law and social justice.
In addition to previously having managed a high file load of individual claims against insurance companies, and negligent employers, Jon has also worked on class actions against insurance companies, financial service providers, faulty product manufacturers, vocational education providers, multi-level marketers, and the Australian government.
Although he works predominantly on shareholder, and competition law class actions, Jon is interested in all areas of large scale litigation.
Jon has previously worked in politics and in Australia’s trade union movement. Jon considers that this history of working in high pressure, rapidly evolving landscapes has provided him with the ability to adopt novel and creative solutions to complex problems.
