On 22 July 2026, the Federal Court issued judgment in favour of the Applicant, Riley Gall, any resolved a number of common questions in favour of group members.

About the case
The class action alleges that until 24 January 2018, Domino’s instructed its Australian franchisees to pay delivery drivers and in-store workers under the wrong employment agreements.
As a result, most delivery drivers and in-store workers in Australia were paid less than they should have been paid.
These workers should have received entitlements such as:
- 25% loading for casual workers;
- additional penalty rates for working after-hours, on weekends and on public holidays; and
- a laundry allowance to assist with uniform cleaning.
It is alleged that these workers should have been paid under the Fast Food Industry Award. Under the Award, workers would have received these entitlements, an allowance for deliveries per shift as well as a minimum 3-hour shifts.
How much does it cost to take part in the class action?
It does not cost anything to register your interest in the class action.
This class action is being funded by Therium, which means:
- You will not have to pay any money upfront for legal fees or any other expenses.
- You will not be responsible for paying Domino’s costs or other costs if the class action is not successful.
If we win the class action, group members will pay their share of legal costs and expenses and a funding commission to Therium, and this will be deducted from any monetary compensation obtained by group members before any money is distributed to group members.
All costs payable to the lawyers and funder, and final amounts to be paid to group members, must first be approved by the Court whose role it is to assess whether those amounts are fair and reasonable for group members.
